If you still don&#8217;t have it, download from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/downloads\/details.aspx?displaylang=en&amp;FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5\">MS site<\/a> and install.<\/li>\n<li>When you run OpenQuran for the first time, you will notice, that there are no translations (only the arabic Quran and an empty comments tables). Open Quran is delivered with a Quran table which consists of 6234 lines. It means that sura 9 has only 127 verses. But you decide by your self at the beginning whether you want that Sura 9 has to be 127 or 129 verses. Once you decided for one of them, this means all of other translations which you like to include later must have the same number of Verses. If you choose Sura 9 with 127 Verses this means your Quran versions\/translations consists of 6234 Verses otherwise 6236 Verses.<\/li>\n<li>To include a new translation, see the &#8220;<strong>include<\/strong>&#8221; part of this document<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"4%\"><span class=\"style1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1032\" src=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/100.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"47\" height=\"47\" \/><\/span><\/td>\n<td width=\"96%\">\n<h2 class=\"style1\">Including new Translation<\/h2>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<blockquote><p>In Open Quran we can easily include any translation we like. The translated file has to be a txt-file and every Verse in it must be on the line <em>(Not separated to many lines)<\/em>. Be sure that txt file has to be converted first to UTF-8 (universal code)<br \/>\nIf your txt file doesn&#8217;t have the right formatting, do as follow<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select all text (Ctrl+A)<\/li>\n<li>Cut text to Clipboard (Ctrl+X)<\/li>\n<li>Change the Unicode of the text file <em>(depends on your text editor)<\/em> to UTF-8<\/li>\n<li>paste Text (Ctrl+V) again and save<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now the txt-file is ready to include in the database of Open Quran. To include the txt-file of our new translation, we do as follow:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1033\" src=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/101.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"466\" height=\"578\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/101.jpg 466w, https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/101-242x300.jpg 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start OpenQuran<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Menu &#8221; <strong>Tools&#8221;<\/strong> and choose <strong>&#8220;Text To Data&#8221; <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Now we need the txt file which has our Quran version. If you did not download any txt file, you can do that by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/download\/txt\/\">our site<\/a>, where you can find some of them.<\/li>\n<li>In the Options Window we want to tell the program whether Sura 9 of our quran version or translation consists of 127 or 129 Verses. (<strong>Does Sura 9 have 127 or 129 Verses?<\/strong>)<br \/>\n<em>(usually open quran is delivered with 127 verses for sura 9. But you can delete and include your arabic version with 129 verses) <\/em><\/li>\n<li>If your txt file has Sura and Verse Numbers, than check this box: (<strong>My text file has already sura and verse numbers like this example<\/strong>). Sura and Verse numbers must be written in the right manner as the Example show<\/li>\n<li>(<strong>Language<\/strong>) is the Language used in the text file<\/li>\n<li>(<strong>Publisher<\/strong>) The name of the translator or author of this script<\/li>\n<li>(<strong>Comment<\/strong>) For now you don\u2019t need to change<\/li>\n<li>(<strong>Sort<\/strong>) This tells how the program should sort the translations. A Number will be automatically generated. You can change now or later in the options of OpenQuran<\/li>\n<li>(<strong>Text Direction<\/strong>) For text files which written in arabic or hebrew similar languages Choose between (<strong>right to left<\/strong>) or (<strong>left to right<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>After including the text file you can see how the verses are sorted. If everything went OK, just click the Button underneath (<strong>Save Access file<\/strong>) The new txt file is included and can be seen and used after restarting OpenQuran (<strong>v. 1.9.4 no need to restart<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span class=\"style2\">Hint: <\/span>Never include the same txt-file 2 times. But you can select more than one sura by holding the Ctrl-key down and choosing with mouse the suras you like to see. After selecting the Suras click on the left Mouse key and choose<span class=\"style11\"> (Show selected) <\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"style11\">image2<\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1035\" src=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/103.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"226\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are also many selection variations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Initialed<\/strong>&#8221; <em>(all Suras which begins with initials)<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Uninitialed<\/strong>&#8221; <em>(Suras which have no initials)<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Selection Table&#8221;<\/strong><em> (Save own selection:<span class=\"style13\"> see image2<\/span>)<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>New<\/strong>: Give the selection a name and type surahs numbers within prackets as follow: <span class=\"style13\">A.L.M. (2,3,29,30,31,32)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Edit<\/strong> existing Selection<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete<\/strong> marked Selection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Meccan<\/strong>&#8221; suras <em>(Suras revealed in Mecca) <\/em>and<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Medinan<\/strong>&#8220;<em> (Suras revealed in Medina) <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Changing the order of Suras by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Revelation<\/strong>&#8221; or<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Chronological<\/strong>&#8221; and<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>Alphabetically<\/strong>&#8221; or<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;<strong>ABGD<\/strong>&#8220;<em> (Old arabic order of Alphabets) <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"style1\">Changing Suras Names to your own language<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>In this version of Openquran we&#8217;ve included only the arabic names of the Suras. If you would like to change the Suras names to your own native language or any other language, do as follow:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Folder where OpenQuran saves the database and options <strong>(My Documents\\openquran) <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open folder <strong>(xml) <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>you&#8217;ll find a file called (<strong>suranames.xml<\/strong>). Open the file with any txt editor<\/li>\n<li>There are 114 lines showing sura numbers and names like this line:<br \/>\n<span class=\"style4\">&lt;sura Nr=&#8221;001&#8243; name=&#8221;Alfatiha&#8221; \/&gt;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Change the content of the name as you want to: <span class=\"style4\">name=&#8221;The Key&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>save file and restart OpenQuran to see changes on the left side of it<\/li>\n<li>Do the same to all 114 Sura names. Selecting 2 numbers with double point in between (e.g. 1:1) will show the chosen verse.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"style5\">Sort Verse numbers<\/span>: This option shows only verse numbers from displayed verses (such as search results) in case we would like to share only the numbers of verses with some one else. It shows also the count of &#8220;even&#8221; and &#8220;odd&#8221; verse numbers.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"style5\"><strong>Sort only text<\/strong>:<\/span> Browser content will be cleared from all formatting, if we need only the text.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"style5\">Write comments<\/strong> (Alt+C): selecting a verse numbers (e.g. 1:1) and choosing write comments will lead directly to the &#8220;comments Editor&#8221; to write comments to the chosen verse<\/p>\n<p><strong><a id=\"g\" name=\"g\"><\/a><span class=\"style4\">Gematrical Value: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1037\" src=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/105.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/105.jpg 375w, https:\/\/hanif.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/105-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you select the verse text und choose &#8220;Gematrical Value&#8221;, OQ will calculate the value of every letter and give the sum of the whole verse\/s.
